We take environmental responsibility seriously. Wood is a renewable resource, and we take care to choose wood that does not further endanger old growth forests or the habitats of native species. That means that we choose reclaimed lumber whenever possible or farmed trees specifically grown with woodworking in mind. Further, we choose natural non-toxic or caustic finishes.
Our furniture is designed and built for the long haul.
That means that we envision what it will take to refinish the piece decades from now. Drawer bottoms are removable, and can be easily replaced if broken. Where plywood is used, the veneer is thick enough to withstand sanding, should the need arise. We want you to be able to hand this furniture down to the next generation.
